A Wood Insert D Nut commercially called a Tee Nut, T-Nut, Wood Insert Nut, or threaded insert for wood is a stamped steel hardware component that installs permanently into a pre-drilled hole in wood, plywood, MDF, or particle board, creating a load-bearing internal metric thread in the substrate.
