Stainless Steel Coil Supplier Mumbai | SS Coil Dealer India

Technical Profile
Aero Enterprises is a premier Stainless Steel (SS) coil supplier in Mumbai, specializing in high-performance austenitic and ferritic steel for critical industrial applications. We stock a comprehensive range of SS 304, SS 316L, and SS 202 coils sourced from major mills like Jindal Stainless and imported variants. Our SS coils are highly valued for their superior corrosion resistance, aesthetic appeal, and hygienic properties, making them essential for pharmaceutical, chemical, food processing, and architectural sectors. Based in Vasai East, we provide precision slitting services and pan-India delivery at competitive market rates.
What is SS Coil? (Stainless Steel Coil Overview)
SS Coil stands for Stainless Steel Coil. It is a flat-rolled product made from an iron-based alloy containing a minimum of 10.5% Chromium. This chromium content creates a passive layer of chromium oxide that prevents surface corrosion and blocks rust from spreading into the metal's internal structure. SS coils are produced through either hot-rolling or cold-rolling processes. Cold-rolled SS coils (CR) are the most common in the market due to their smooth finish and precise thickness, often available in various surface treatments like BA (Bright Annealed) or 2B finish.
SS Coil Uses and Applications
Difference Between SS 304 and SS 316L Coils
SS 304 is the most versatile '18/8' stainless steel used for general purpose applications like kitchenware and indoor panels. SS 316L contains 2-3% Molybdenum, which significantly increases resistance to chlorides (salt) and acidic chemicals. SS 316L is mandatory for marine environments, medical implants, and chemical processing. While SS 316L is roughly 30-40% more expensive than 304, it prevents 'pitting corrosion' in harsh environments where 304 might fail.
SS Coil Weight Calculator
To calculate SS coil weight: Weight (kg) = Length (m) × Width (m) × Thickness (mm) × 8.0 (density for 300 series). Note that SS 300 series is slightly denser (8.0) than MS (7.85). Example: A 0.5mm thick SS 304 coil of 1250mm width and 500m length weighs approx 2,500 kg.
SS Coil HSN Code & GST
The HSN code for Stainless Steel Coils is 7219 (Flat-rolled products of stainless steel, of a width of 600mm or more). For widths below 600mm (strips), the HSN is 7220. The applicable GST rate in India is 18%.
